Refund Policy

1. GENERAL POLICY

1.1 Digital Service

Scarlett AI Companion is a digital subscription service. Due to the nature of digital services, ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE once charged.

1.2 Absolute No-Refund Policy for Pre-Paid Subscriptions

IF YOU HAVE PRE-PAID FOR ANY SUBSCRIPTION PERIOD (INCLUDING ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTIONS, MULTI-MONTH PACKAGES, OR ANY ADVANCE PAYMENT):

  • NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED under any circumstances, except as awarded by an arbitrator
  • Cancellation does not entitle you to any refund regardless of remaining time
  • Company liability is ZERO DOLLARS ($0.00) unless you prove Company error through binding arbitration
  • The burden of proof is entirely on you to demonstrate material Company error
  • Dissatisfaction, change of circumstances, or failure to use the Service are not grounds for refund

You expressly waive any right to a refund for pre-paid subscription fees except as may be awarded through arbitration upon finding of material Company error.

1.3 Acknowledgment

By subscribing to the Service, you acknowledge that:

  • You are purchasing access to a digital service
  • The Service is delivered immediately upon payment
  • You waive any "cooling off" period rights to the extent permitted by law
  • Pre-paid subscriptions are non-refundable under any circumstances absent arbitration award

2. SUBSCRIPTION BILLING

2.1 Billing Cycle

Subscriptions are billed:

  • Monthly: On the same date each month
  • Annually: On the anniversary of your subscription start date

2.2 Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

2.3 No Partial Refunds

We do not provide refunds or credits for:

  • Partial subscription periods
  • Unused time after cancellation
  • Downgrading to a lower tier mid-cycle

3. CANCELLATION

3.1 How to Cancel

You may cancel your subscription at any time:

  1. Account Settings: Go to Settings > Subscription > Cancel
  2. Email: Contact support@myscarlet.ai with "Cancel Subscription" in the subject
  3. Support: Contact customer support

3.2 Effect of Cancellation

When you cancel:

  • Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period
  • You retain access to all features until the period ends
  • No further charges will be made after cancellation
  • No refund is provided for the remaining time in the current period

3.3 Reactivation

After cancellation, you may reactivate your subscription at any time. Reactivation starts a new billing cycle at the current subscription price.


4. REFUND ELIGIBILITY

4.1 Automatic Refunds

Refunds are automatically provided for:

  • Duplicate charges (same subscription charged twice)
  • Technical errors causing incorrect billing amounts
  • Charges after confirmed cancellation

4.2 Discretionary Refunds

We may, in our sole discretion, provide refunds in the following circumstances:

4.3 Not Eligible for Refund

Refunds are NOT provided for:

  • Dissatisfaction with the Service
  • Failure to cancel before renewal
  • Violation of Terms of Service
  • Account termination due to misconduct
  • Changes to Service features
  • Personal circumstances preventing use
  • Forgetting about the subscription

5. REFUND REQUEST PROCESS

5.1 How to Request

To request a refund (for eligible circumstances):

  1. Email: support@myscarlet.ai
  2. Subject: "Refund Request - [Your Username]"
  3. Include:
    • Account email address
    • Date of charge
    • Reason for refund request
    • Any supporting information

5.2 Processing Time

  • Refund requests are reviewed within 5 business days
  • Approved refunds are processed within 5-10 business days
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method

5.3 Refund Method

Refunds will be issued via:

  • Original payment method (credit card, debit card)
  • If original method unavailable, account credit or alternative method

6. CHARGEBACKS

6.1 Policy

We encourage users to contact us before initiating a chargeback with their bank or credit card company. We are committed to resolving billing issues directly.

6.2 Consequences

If you initiate a chargeback:

  • Your account may be suspended pending investigation
  • If the chargeback is found to be unjustified, your account may be terminated
  • You may be responsible for chargeback fees
  • Future access to the Service may be restricted

6.3 Dispute Resolution

Per our Terms of Service, billing disputes are subject to our dispute resolution procedures. Please contact us first to resolve any issues.


7. PRICE CHANGES

7.1 Notice

We may change subscription prices at any time. You will be notified of price changes at least 30 days before they take effect.

7.2 Your Options

When prices change:

  • Current subscribers keep their price until the next renewal
  • You may cancel before the new price takes effect
  • Continuing after notice constitutes acceptance of the new price

7.3 No Refunds for Price Decreases

If we lower prices, existing subscribers are not entitled to refunds or credits for the price difference.


8. FREE TRIALS

8.1 Trial Terms

If we offer free trials:

  • Trials automatically convert to paid subscriptions
  • You must cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges
  • No refunds for failure to cancel a trial

8.2 One Trial Per User

Free trials are limited to one per user. Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional trials is prohibited.


9. PROMOTIONAL PRICING

9.1 Promotional Terms

Promotional pricing is subject to specific terms disclosed at the time of the offer.

9.2 Expiration

After promotional periods end, subscriptions renew at the standard price unless otherwise specified.

9.3 No Retroactive Application

Promotions do not apply retroactively to previous purchases or current subscription periods.


10. SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES

10.1 Death or Incapacity

In cases of death or legal incapacity of a subscriber:

  • Authorized representatives may contact us to cancel the subscription
  • We may provide pro-rated refunds on a case-by-case basis
  • Documentation may be required

10.2 Service Discontinuation

If we discontinue the Service entirely:

  • We will provide reasonable notice
  • Pro-rated refunds may be issued for pre-paid periods
  • Terms will be communicated at the time of discontinuation
